Here are a few things you can do today that will make a difference:

Turn off lights and electronic gear that you are not using.

Find an empty bucket and start composting your fruit and vegetable scraps. Even if you don't have a garden , your compost will improve the health of your yard's or neighborhood's soil.

Recycle! Do a little research and find out what items can be economically recycled in your area. Sure bets are aluminum cans, printer ink cartridges, and newspapers.

Take some simple steps to increase your car's fuel efficiency today.

Build a greenhouse in your yard to grow your own fresh flowers and vegetables, or build a lean-to greenhouse on your south wall to supplement your home heating system with passive solar heat gain (and grow some ripe, juicy tomatoes while you're at it!).
